The 2023 rugby world cup was the occasion to gather all icelandic rugby enthusiast. The grand opening happened for the first game of the world cup between France and New Zealand, where the big screen was set up in KEX Hostel. The room was full, and a nice atmosphere was on. The popularity stayed intact through the whole world cup, with large gatherings also happening from the final phases. Most of the games were watch in Ölver sports bar.
